You can use your MyGVB account to easily and quickly manage your own personal details (such as changing your name, address, or bank details); purchase, manage and change (e.g., cancelling your travel product or cancelling it early) GVB travel products; view your travel history for some products, such as GVB Flex; manage your personal settings and preferences (e.g., subscribe or unsubscribe to the GVB newsletter, Alerts or market research); or enter contact information (e.g., for a question or complaint).
Why does GVB use your personal data?
GVB uses your information to manage your MyGVB account and enter your account updates in its systems so your personal data are always correct and complete.
Which personal data is processed by GVB?
You are free to create a user account via MyGVB. To do so, you register one time with at least your e-mail address. Additionally, you can choose to also enter your contact information, birth date, public transport chip card number, product details, financial details, favourite route number(s), or share your personal settings and preferences.
Basis for processing
The basis for the processing of your personal data in the MyGVB environment is consent. You can choose to register and create a user account. When you create your account — and also later, if you wish — you can indicate which information you want to record and what you want to register for.
Period of retention
After the termination of your last travel product linked to your MyGVB account or the last purchase of a balance using your account, your MyGVB account will remain active for another seven (7) years. GVB will delete the account after the seventh year.
Who do we share the data with?
We share your personal data with processors who process personal data on the instructions of or on behalf of GVB. These processors are cloud providers, hosting services, and IT service providers.
