Stadsmobiel 

 

StadsmobielSpecial transport for senior citizens and people with limited mobility.

Do you want to travel without having to bother family or friends? Without having to wait at the bus or tram stop? Then Stadsmobiel is your solution. This service has many advantages over normal public transport. It will pick you up when and where you want, and take you right to your destination. Door to door. All you have to do is call.

Stadsmobiel is for able-bodied people aged 65 or over and for anybody with limited mobility. To use it, you must hold a special Travel Pass. A relative or carer can accompany you if they hold an Escort Pass. A fare is charged for each journey.

The Stadsmobiel bus brings you comfortably and safely to your destination. Your fellow passengers may include people with limited mobility. If necessary, the driver will be happy to help you get on and off the bus.

Use this number to:
- apply for a Travel Pass ("Vervoerspas");
- apply for an Escort Pass ("Meereispas");
- report a lost or stolen Travel or Escort Pass;
- make comments, suggestions and complaints.

Service times:
Seven days a week, including all public holidays, 7.30am-11.30pm
(New Year's Eve until 9pm).

Booking times:
Seven days a week, 7am-11pm.

How to book a journey by telephone:

  • Always book well in advance: up to one week and at least one hour before the time you wish to travel.
  • Have your Travel Pass to hand.
  • Call (020) 460 5460.
  • Give the number shown on your Travel Pass.
  • State how many people will be travelling (all passengers must hold a Travel Pass or Escort Pass), whether you are a wheelchair user and if you will be travelling with luggage such as a suitcase, walking frame or pet.
  • Give the address at which you wish to be picked up, the address to which you want to be taken and the time you want to be picked up.
  • If possible, arrange your return journey at the same time.
  • Give a telephone number (mobile or land line) where you can be contacted immediately before your journey.

Ready for the journey:

  • Remember that the bus may arrive up to 15 minutes before or after the booked time.
  • When the bus is about five minutes away, you will be called on the contact number you gave when booking.
  • Wait outside at the agreed pick-up point or, if you need assistance, make sure that you are ready to travel.

During the journey:

  • Show your Travel Pass to the driver and pay your fare. If possible, give the exact change.
  • You will not have to change bus.
  • You will be travelling with other Stadsmobiel users, and the bus driver may spend up to 30 minutes picking up or setting down other passengers.

Cancelling a journey:
To cancel a journey you have already booked, please call (020) 460 5460 as soon as possible.
