Every year, Amsterdam hosts a wide range of congresses and events. As an event organiser you spend a lot of time designing the visitors' programme and the associated activities. To guarantee a successful event, however, transport services must be perfect. Not only our regular travellers, but especially your visitors to events or congresses in particular will appreciate a smooth journey.

GVB offers you various attractive public transport options for events or congresses. A summary of how we work is set out below. Naturally, we will be happy to visit you in person to explain matters in greater detail, if so required.

GVB 24 / 48 / 72 / 96 / 120 / 144 / 168 –hour tickets
These tickets entitle the visitors to unlimited travel through Amsterdam, day and night, by bus, tram and metro, for the number of hours indicated.

Added value for your event or congress 
Depending on the number of visitors (minimum of 1,000) GVB can offer these tickets at reduced rates.
Eventually, we would like the costs of public transport to be integrated into the price of the event or congress tickets. This will stimulate the use of public transport and save visitors hefty parking fees.

Use of extra tram, bus and metro services
Besides offering cheap visitor tickets to congresses or events, large numbers of visitors may also require the use of extra transport services. We know from experience that to transport travellers comfortably by bus, tram or metro, transport services must be stepped up in line with the number of visitors expected to attend a particular event or congress.
The extent to which our services need to be increased not only depends on the number of visitors that will be using public transport, but also on the travelling times (i.e. during rush hour or not) and any specific requirements you may have.

Distribution travelling tickets
We will deliver the tickets free of charge to any location in Amsterdam. Further distribution must be carried out by you. You may also collect the tickets from GVB Head offices.

Additional information
